Dr. Kumar Ravi, MD, FACC is the Founder and CEO of Arizona Heart Specialists and a triple board-certified interventional cardiologist with over 30 years of cardiovascular experience. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).

Dr. Ravi earned his medical degree from Bangalore University, India in 1988, followed by his Internal Medicine residency at the renowned Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed his Clinical Cardiology fellowship (1994- 1997) and Interventional Cardiology fellowship (1997-1999) at the Heart Institute at Beth Israel Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York — one of the nation's leading academic cardiovascular centers.

He subsequently served as Associate Director of Research in Interventional Cardiology at Beth Israel (2000-2002), contributing to landmark NIH-funded research in intravascular brachytherapy (NIH Grant RO1-HL57923) and pioneering work including the first human case of Myoblast Cell Therapy for myocardial function, demonstrated live at the Paris Course on Revascularization (PCR 2001). He also served as Director of Cardiovascular Services at Yashoda Hospitals in Hyderabad, India before relocating to Arizona.

In 2004-2005 he practiced in Cottonwood, AZ before founding Arizona Heart Specialists in Sun City in 2005 — now a multi-location practice serving Sun City, Sun City West, and the Northwest Phoenix Valley.

Dr. Ravi holds hospital staff appointments at Boswell Memorial Hospital (Sun City), Del E. Webb Hospital (Sun City West), Arizona Heart Hospital (Phoenix), and Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (Glendale). His research has been published in the American Journal of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Radiation Medicine, Chest, and the Journal of Invasive Cardiology, and presented at ACC, ESC, TCT, ASTRO, and international cardiology congresses.
